Accelerating awareness into action in menopause
The MAP Alliance is a global alliance of cross-sector stakeholders working to translate evidence and insight into measurable change in menopause — helping women around the world confidently navigate menopause through better systems, care and support.

Our vision
A new world in which all women can confidently navigate menopause.

Our mission
Enabling change in systems for the well-being of women experiencing menopause.

Our goals
Advance effective policies and systems that promote impactful, timely and quality menopause care.
Transform workplaces to support women in menopause.
The time for action is now
For too many women, menopause still means navigating fragmented care, limited support and systems that are not equipped to meet their needs at a pivotal stage of life.
Women are living longer and play increasingly important roles across workplaces, families and communities, yet the systems supporting them through menopause have not kept pace. Women should not be expected to face avoidable disruption to their health, careers, relationships or daily lives because the right information, care or support are unavailable.
By 2030, an estimated 500 million women aged between 45 and 55 will be going through the menopausal transition.1 Not every woman will need or seek menopause care, but appropriate support should be available for those who want or need it, when they need it – from reliable information and responsive healthcare to supportive workplace adjustments. Reforming menopause care can help women live healthier, more fulfilling lives, remain active in the workforce and contribute fully to their communities and economies.
The impact extends far beyond menopausal symptoms and the individual. Women may reduce their working hours, step back from opportunities or leave work altogether, with consequences for financial security and long-term wellbeing. Families and communities can feel the wider effects, health systems may face additional demand for care, employers can lose experienced talent, and economies can lose productivity and economic contribution.
The MAP Alliance brings together diverse expertise to build the evidence, partnerships and practical tools needed to advance menopause policy and drive systemic change, helping women live, work, care and thrive through midlife and beyond.
